FAQs

How does coaching differ from therapy or counselling?

Coaching focuses on where someone is going in their life and moving forward, rather than looking at the past. Whilst counselling tends to concentrate on a particular issue or a topic, coaching looks at the whole person and the life they want.

Are the sessions confidential?

Completely. Anything we discuss in the sessions will not be shared. Should you wish to tell anyone else about what we have talked about, is up to you.

Do the sessions have to be face-to-face?

Not at all. Over the phone or Skype works just as well, if not better. It’s important that you’re in a safe space where you can talk openly.

How do I know if my goals will be achieved?

In simple terms, you are in control. We will discuss your goals at the beginning and what you need from me as your coach. I promise that if you show up and are committed to the coaching, then change will happen. The degree to which it happens will depend on how much you put into each coaching session and in between.

I’m not sure if coaching is for me. Can I try before I buy?

Absolutely. Coaching is a deep and transformative process, so you need to be sure that it’s right for you. It’s also important to feel there is a ‘connection’ between coach and client. I offer a complimentary 30 minute session so you can experience what coaching from me is like, with no strings attached.
